Illinois Supreme Court Justice John Nickels has endorsed

of Kane, Kendall and DeKalb counties. Morelli will seek the
Republican nomination in the primary election February 2,
2010.
“I am humbled to receive this endorsement from Justice

while Nickels served on the Illinois Supreme Court and 2nd
District Appellate Court.
“It was a pleasure to have
appeared in his courtroom during those periods of his
career,” said Morelli, who also had cases against Nickels
before Nickels became a judge.
Prior to his years of judicial experience, Justice Nickels
practiced law in Kane County for more than 20 years. Justice
Nickels currently lives on a farm in Maple Park where he

Judicial Circuit, from 1976 to 1981. As associate judge, he
heard cases ranging from traffic and criminal to family law
and civil trials. He began practicing law in Aurora in 1967,
and has worked as an Assistant State’s Attorney and a public
